JudgeABook: Twilight Robbery by Frances Hardinge

This cover just popped out at me when I was scrolling through my blog subscriptions. Yes!, I thought, I'd pick that up were it on the shelf in front of me. Doesn't it look like the perfect mix of intrigue, hijinks and dastardly deeds? Time-pieces, chases, and cramped city streets. It looks Fun!

I kind of feel like I've just written part three... but here it goes:

The girl was running from time. Or running out of time. But she also ran from the caped villain. And surely that horse and cart was even more bad news? Although she wasn’t aware of it quite yet. Where was a Bobby when you needed one? And would they believe her, or clap her in chains to send her to the colonies? Some mornings you should get out of bed. But that’s the whole point, the clock that wasn’t hers would not stop chiming, and as we’ve establish: she was running out of time.
