I think anyone who has shared a picture book with a child would most likely be able to identify with this very funny story. Little Chicken wants a story before bedtime, and Papa makes her promise that she won't interrupt. Do you think she'll be able to contain herself?
Just this past weekend I was reading this to my nieces and they were laughing so loud it was great. It was a guessing game with each new story Papa started whether or not he would be interrupted. It makes me laugh, especially when the children you're sharing it with are enjoying it just as much as you are.
